Hello Townie
Where have you been.
Yes, the Dog was in Water Orton.
My knowledge of Pub names is very limited. You will have to jog my memory.
Please transfer other pub postings to this thread.
Best wishes
Gerald.

Gerald if I have it right there were 5 pubs in Castle Bromwich. Not many people know that.

The Bridgeman Arms,

Never was much of a town clubber, I went to Snobs once, not my kind of music, and all those mirrored walls and subdued lighting I couldn't find my way around the place.

Preferred two 'clubs' out Hockley Heath way. The Barn, good disco a couple of nights a week. Revolving dance floor, the lads would stand around the edge, pints in hand, watching the girls dancing around their handbags, a bit like a cattle market!

The Royal Oak, Cinders Night club, open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, not sure about other nights. Good live bands some nights. 1 admission this included a meal, i.e pie and chips, fish and chips etc.

A few good pubs out that way too.

I remember some awesome nights in the Black Horse Stratford Road. I believe it is an Indian Restaurant now, shame how many of our local pubs have being knocked down or turned into something else.
