Tamworth a lovely town. When I first moved here over 40 years ago the Tamie's hated us Brummies' We were part of the overspill and were overtaking there nice peaceful little town. I suppose if I had been a Tammie I would have felt the same. I will add more as time goes on.

Does anyone remember the river at Tamworth being dammed one Saturday so that they could get all the rubbish out.
Old style Prams, pushchairs and bikes came out. A lot of handmade coloured bottles were found, these would be at
least from Victorian times. Did they make bottles and glassware in Tamworth. I have one of the bottles, square and green in colour.
A lot of the bottles were square.
Best wishes
Gerald.

What year are you talking about Gerald? I've been here since 1977 and I don't remember it.

Hello Townie
Managed to get back on the forum. It was about mid 80s I think, drew big crowds.

Hello Townie
Had a problem as I told you earlier getting on my forum but glad I have now sorted it.
Have you put your tree up yet and the trimmings. Will it be a fresh turkey or
a frozen one from last year. Nice juicy shoulder of pork and a piece of gammon.
Orange juice and water followed by Dandelion and Burdock, what more could you ask for.
HO  Ho  Ho  Its time to go.
