I remember all of those names. Pat Roach bought a second hand car lot next to the Swan
on Washwood Heath Road. Not sure if all the money went through the till.
I bought a Commer high top van from there. But they said they never sold it to me.
Best wishes
Gerald.

The last time I seen Pat Roach was in a fish and chip shop, Fazeley Tamworth. He was a big bloke.

Hello Townie
I bought the van and brought it back to Wales. A working girl in Balsall Heath was murdered and someone
saw the body being dumped on Cannock Chase from the van I had just bought.
The Police where soon round knocking on my door. They said the van was used to get rid of the body 7 days
before I bought it. But the garage said they never sold it to me.
The Police came again to ask more questions and away they went.
They came again and told me that they believed me but I had to go to Edward Road Road Police Station.
They said we really do accept what you say so would you like to drive up there yourself. So I did.
They locked me in a room and after about an hour came to talk to me. We are bringing the owner of the garage in.
He has been told that if he lies he will be in big trouble.
About half an hour later they came and told me I was free to go. He had remembered me buying it but the
money went in his pocket. I was told afterwards a lot of money went in his pocket and the tax office had taken over.
He did not have the van on the date of the murder but would have seen me swing for it.
A couple of months later they did get the man that murdered the girl and the van he used was not mine.
Gerald.

Gerald You would have thought that they would carry out forensic exams. Going back that long though they wouldn't know what they know now. No forums in Winson Green LOL,
