Was Haye hurt or did he just lie down. Very strange to me.
The man had nothing to offer or was he just too old.

I think it was because he hadn't boxed for a long time,Like Joshua you have to keep at it.Just to say, happened to go shopping with the wife in Ramsgate about 30 months ago while she was in the green grocers I sat talking with a man who was a lot older than me.He told me he had been  a boxing trainer up in London till he retired 6 months before. He told me to watch out for a good kid who he said would become World Champion Very soon, his name was Anthony Joshua. He proved right

Hello Ed
You hit the nail on the head. He needed a couple of warm up fights.
Is Haye a boxing promotor under the name Hayemaker Productions.
Take care
Gerald.

I done a bit of boxing in my youth weren't very good though. Boxing training is the hardest training I have ever done, and I've trained for a few sports.

Hello Townie 3 x 2 minute rounds and you were worn out. It was a sport I soon gave up.
Back to Football, Cricket and Running.
I ran quite a few marathons for charities. I was a pacemaker. One mile from home I used
to give it all I had got to force the others to go quicker. I would always finish in the top ten
but never won. Sometimes trained with Mary Evans Welsh 100 yards champion. She would go
in fast spurts and I then had to catch up with her.
Great days.
Gerald.

A bit off topic. Gerald I take my hat off to you. No way I could have ran a marathon if I done 5 miles that would be it. Be interesting though to know how far you ran on the football pitch.

A couple of time on TV recently a boxer has been seen walking round like an ape.
His opponents look but do not know what to do. The ape then swings a big punch and knocks them out.
Is it within the rules of boxing to allow this.
Gerald.
