I was born in Erdington in 1944 and most of my family originate from Birmingham. I now live in Lancashire where I met my wife who's family also have connections with Birmingham. My Uncle Bill owned Padmores Garage, 198 Villa Street, Lozells and I had an Aunt who lived across the road at number 135 Villa Street, Lozells. Our parents have now sadly passed away and a lot of history went with them so it is like starting from scratch, well almost. If anyone can help with any information or street photos of the Padmore name or the Lozells area it would be a great start.

Hi All,

Many thanks for the welcome messages.

Holly, I was born at 22 Frances Road, Erdington. I am sure it is still standing so I can't have made so much noise then!

It shows up on Google Maps and I now have a picture of it but whether it is the original i'm not certain.

I have made some progress recently with my mothers side but still seem to have drawn a blank with my fathers family (Padmore).

Regards
