BIRMINGHAM WEST MIDLANDS IS TO GET IT'S OWN BROADBAND MEDICAL SERVICE.
Birmingham based independent producer which makes Embarrassing Bodies for channel four has won a contract to build a broadband medical service with a 5 year deal worth 15 million. They hope to launch a pilot in the spring...Cat

Their words not mine, it will of course be where you can get those discreet questions answered about your medical problems without bothering your Doctor...Cat
I am very much afraid that this is the beginning of the end of the doctor.
Then again thay may be clever enough to tell me how to reset my computer too.

About 20 years ago I went to the Hospital and instead of seeing a doctor I was put in front of a Computer....A list of questions came down like a menu, to give your answer you touched the screen with a soft knobbed pointer.........After you had answered a little later a nurse came and asked almost the same questions then made an appointment for you to see the Dr. Two weeks later I was admitted to have my Gall Bladder removed. Wonder if this Broad Band Medical dodar is the same principal?
If that was the fore runner it worked for me........

He can probably play a good round of golf Paul. They are known today as pill pushers and as some-one said, that industry is the crown jewels and i believe it...Cat Sheila, you would have to go to a screening clinic for that examination to take place , they, are opening up too. Just thought of something rather amusing, maybe we will all be supplied with a webcam and can show them our bits over cyber space.

I watched a programme last night Sheila, i did not see it all, but they were comparing the older generation and trying to find out how some grow old look and die youngish and some carry on for another twenty years or so, 100 plus.... they have discovered what chemicals that we are lacking and hope that in another three years that they will be able to help us to live longer and look younger. Will it be the elixir of life, i doubt it, but one must always live in hope.... without hope.... we are lost...Cat

We have to face it life gives us what there is and its up to us to use it wisely..Maybe I,m not wise but I dont want to live to 100 I,m a canktankerous old biddy now, so heaven help folk if I get that old....

Living longer is fine if you have all of your faculties in place, if not who want's to sit in a chair staring at the wall for days on end, with no-one to talk to, no wild crazy music when you are in the mood, no laughter. ( not me.) I keep saying it's me me me time and as long as my children are fine then i am going to do just as i please...Cat
