Every week when I was at Lea Village a double decker bus would take us to a farm in the Cotswolds called Everits farm, passed Chipping Camden and about 1/2 a mile from a tall tower on the top of a hill.We would spend all day on the farm learning what went on with the sheep and cows and horses. The best time was the spring with the Lambs when we could go in the stalls with them. This was in the early50s so got interested in gardening, then we started to rear pigs in a sty at the school and I became the treasurer of the pig club.gret days

G G,my brother when he finished work at dinner time at ROB PRYKES,he loved to go into the HOBBIES shop in Moor St, he would buy the tissue paper planes,he would sit at home making Letter Racks and all things from ply wood on a fretwork treadle  machine for Xmas presents for his aunties.

Tip Cat was played with a bat or piece of wood for the bat,and small piece of wood pointed at each end.You would put the pointed wood on the ground an hit it at one end, this caused it to spin up in the air and you would hit it with the bat and run round the 4 markers you placed in the street,it was like rounders but without a ball.
