Without going into your favourite team, unless you generally think your team is the best. Who do you think plays the best football in the English league?

Man city and Spurs  without a doubt ,just see how many goals they have scored, there stiles of play are very similar always have 4 -5 players going forward, nice to watch

Edi
Will the Villa get promoted.
I have some doubts
Gerald.

My choice would be Arsenal I have never seen a team play football like them. Although they don't have the best players they play as a team.

G G ,that must be the joke of 2017 ,this man as lost is way.Good  managers don't just buy players, but managers today are not the same as when we were young, they didn't have all the different coaches then.

Hello Ed and Townie
Playing as a team is what matters and sometimes take a chance with a youngster.
Gerald.

This so called manager of A V

This is why the blues let him go, he done nothing for them and he will do nothing for the Villa.

Football lost its way in this country when we started the one touch system.Used to look out for young players for W B A down here in Kent in the 90s. and was told about the system, wanting all the teams from youths upwards to all play the same.this meant having no individuals .To me this killed the football as we knew it years ago.

Hello Ed
I agree, we always played to win and not train to be a ballet dancer.
The best way to score goals is to go forward and shoot or head goal wards.
Gerald.

Will Mark Hughes get the sack? I can understand why Hughes made the decision to play a weaker side against Chelsea and kept the best side for today but I'm afraid it backfired.

Hello Townie
He could unless things improve very quickly.
My shot hit the goalkeeper in the face and now he and the ball are in the back of the net.
Sennelys Park 1959.

: Re: Football
: Edifi January 01, 2018, 08:36:03 PM
Can't see him being there much longer to many bad results

: Re: Football
: townie January 10, 2018, 09:05:17 PM
I didn't think Mark Hughes would last much longer and I was right.

: Re: Football
: Edifi January 10, 2018, 11:28:05 PM
He would probablyreplace him at the Villa ,stupid directors

: Re: Football
: townie January 10, 2018, 11:30:01 PM
To be honest he might do a good job at the Villa.

: Re: Football

Okay Question for everyone who is going to win the premiership? Question 2 who is going to be regulated from the premiership?

: Re: Football
: Edifi March 03, 2018, 04:43:04 PM
Only one team in it,and Albion and Stoke to name 2 ,

: Re: Football
: GardenGerald March 03, 2018, 05:39:11 PM
Will the VILLA be promoted and Birmingham relegated.
Gerald

: Re: Football
: Edifi March 04, 2018, 03:48:18 PM
Don't think Villa would be strong enough in the Premiership, they would probably come back down straight away, think Blues are doomed to go down, they were wrong to get rid of the manager last year for that Italian, they were doing so good under him.

: Re: Football
: townie March 11, 2018, 03:02:31 PM
Question for all our football residents. Who was the only manager to Manage Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion.

: Re: Football
: Edifi March 11, 2018, 08:05:45 PM
Was it Ron Saunders?

: Re: Football
: townie March 11, 2018, 08:43:00 PM
That's correct Edifi well done.

: Re: Football
: Edifi March 11, 2018, 11:21:02 PM
Meet Ron great manager, board wouldn't back him ,as usual at that time they where frightended

: Re: Football
: townie March 13, 2018, 12:46:23 PM
Southampton have sacked manager Mauricio Pellegrino with the team just one point and one place above the Premier League relegation zone with eight games left this season.
So how is Alan Pardew keeping his job? The Baggies have won just once in 28 league games. My opinion is if they stick with Pardew they will be relegated.

: Re: Football
: Edifi March 13, 2018, 11:34:35 PM
On telly tonight Pardew o k till end off season. They will look for a new manager and Pardew pockets  a couple of million.O to be a football manager
