Sheila, Yes, I would love to have my name added to the card. I'd also like to thank you for your thoughtfulness.

I agree with you that we hope it is a get well soon card.

I met Beryl on the Birmingham History Forum. I will say that she and I had a few go arounds on some topics but one thing we agreed on, in private messages, was to respect each others opinions even if we did not agree. To me, Beryl has always been a woman who lives by her convictions even if they go against the grain. I admire her for that. I enjoy her intelligence and the huge efforts she had put forth for this forum. She does it for us and it's a difficult job on the best of days. We should all be grateful for what she has given to us, so very much of herself.

Although one of the first members to join this site - by kind invitation of Beryl - I have not logged on in a while.

I would however like to offer my very best wishes to Beryl for a speedy recovery.

My thoughts are with Beryl and obviously her family -  in what must be a very worrying time for them.

I would like to add my name to the card and would thank Sheila for her very kind gesture.

Fay

Hi Sheila, thank you for posting the update, I was just about to do so.

Her entire family is by her side, same with her friends - you are all such an important part of her life. Thanks for being so thoughtful, I will be reading these posts to her tomorrow morning (Friday).

Thank you both, Sheila and Robert, for the update. I had heard from Maureen (Mo) earlier that Beryl's condition is grave. We can only hope for the best. My thoughts are with all the family at this time. I do hope that even in the coma she will know that our thoughts are with her.

I have read all your kind words to Beryl about an hour ago, she was moving around more than I've seen her - I could tell she wanted to thank you all and that she wishes she could be here to post. Her eyes were open as I read your messages, I know she heard every word. As I said your names, I could feel her awareness of them, she knows you have her in your prayers.

Robert

I've just heard the terrible news. I'm so sorry for Stuart and the family. I just hope that Beryl will use her fighting spirit and recover. She's in my thoughts. Please pass on my best wishes and regards.
